What began as an idea from our Research Lead, Professor Azhar Zafar, became a reality on Wednesday as we proudly hosted the first Northamptonshire Primary Care Research Event. Despite a few challenges along the way, it was incredibly rewarding to see the event come together and generate such enthusiasm and momentum.

The afternoon brought together colleagues from primary care, academia, industry, and wider partner organisations for a programme of insightful presentations, lively discussions, and valuable networking. A key highlight was the clear appetite for collaboration, with many opportunities identified to develop new partnerships that can strengthen primary care research and improve outcomes for our local communities.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our inspiring speakers and to everyone who attended and supported the event, helping to turn a shared vision into reality. This event marks the beginning of what we hope will be many future collaborations and research opportunities in primary care, all aimed at delivering meaningful benefits for our patients and communities.
